Recently, the rainwater PP module project for Jiangyin Experimental School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University (Primary Division), constructed by our company, has been smoothly completed and officially put into use. This project deeply integrates the sponge city concept with campus educational scenarios, solving the problems of rainwater drainage and utilization on campus while creating an eco-friendly and educationally valuable green campus environment for teachers and students, winning high recognition from the school.
As a new educational landmark in southeast Chengjiang, Jiangyin Experimental School Affiliated to Nanjing Normal University covers an area of about 89 mu with a school-running scale of 48 classes in 8 tracks. It focuses on the integration of science and innovation education with ecological education. The introduction of the rainwater PP module system is an important measure for the school to practice the concept of green education. Based on the characteristics of the campus site, our company provided a customized solution using lightweight, high-strength, eco-friendly and durable PP modules. The underground rainwater storage system is built through modular assembly without large hoisting equipment, greatly shortening the construction period and avoiding disruption to the campus’s normal teaching order.
The rainwater PP module system achieves a water storage rate of over 95%, efficiently collecting rainwater from campus roofs, green spaces and playgrounds. After filtration and purification, the rainwater is reused for campus greening irrigation, road washing and other purposes, realizing rainwater resource recycling. This not only eases the campus water supply pressure but also reduces urban waterlogging risks, practicing the concept of water and energy conservation. Meanwhile, the concealed underground installation does not occupy ground space, perfectly matching the layout of the school’s green landscapes and activity areas.
The successful implementation of this project not only demonstrates our technical strength and construction expertise in rainwater PP modules, but also provides an excellent model for sponge campus renovation. In the future, our company will continue to focus on rainwater resource utilization, and help more campuses and communities build ecological, environmentally friendly and sustainable green spaces with better products and services, injecting sustained momentum into sponge city construction.
